SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

 

Position Summary:

SIEC is looking for an Senior Architectural Technologist to join the team. This role will see you practicing architecture in a multi-disciplinary environment with the opportunity to work across multiple sectors including Residential, Hospitality and Transport developments. Your role in the team will be to assist the Technical team to develop projects from Schematic design, working on the detail design and documenting stage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Aiding the technical team with all aspects of design development

• Support the design development of projects from Schematic design to completion

• Support all technical detailing of the project

• Support coordination with all sub-consultant packages

• Assist on all drawing packages to ensure full coordination and technical excellence is achieved prior to issue

• Research suitable materials and construction systems in line with the architectural design intent to inform the documentation

• Adhere to SIEC standards. Ensure all documentation is as per SIEC BIM Manual

• Ensure all work is delivered to the correct standard and on time

• Assist the Authorities Team with the local authority submissions in accordance with the relevant local authority requirements

• Technical coordination assistance will be required. Mark up’s/details/options/suggestions to be provided to Technical team for review/approval

• Ensure sub-consultants requirements are adequately incorporated in drawing packages

• Provide overview/support of technical input on packages

• Provide overview/support of technical input on the BIM models

 

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• Degree in Architecture from a recognized international university

• 10-12 years of Architecture experience

• Professional Registration preferred. Dubai and KSA codes and standards knowledge required

• Experience in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, Auto CAD, and other drawing based design program

• Knowledge of architectural building materials and methods, tectonics, design standards and codes

• Good communication skills

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

• Demonstrate ability to organize and coordinate projects

• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce environment

• Be proactive and suggest improvements or amendments required to the systems

• Ensure adequate knowledge of specifications in order to correctly annotate drawings

• Ensure adequate English to ensure correct spelling and grammar on all documentation
