SENIOR ELV ENGINEER

 

Position Summary:

The Senior ELV Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Extra Low Voltage systems in various projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in ELV systems, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, fire alarms, public address systems, BMS, and structured cabling.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development:

    • Develop detailed ELV system designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications.

    • Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate ELV systems into overall project plans.

    • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Project Management:

    • Lead ELV projects from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.

    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and as-built drawings.

    • Maintain accurate records of project progress and status.

    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.

  • Leadership and Mentorship:

    • Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of [7] years of experience in ELV system design, installation, and project management.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in CAD / Revit software and other relevant engineering tools.
