

UTILITY DESIGN ASSOCIATE-DRY
Position Summary:
-
Demonstrated knowledge of HV,MV electrical telecommunications ,street lighting designs and authorities standards

Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards
-
Knowledge of design/layout criteria pertinent to the discipline
-
Knowledge of utility design engineering software
-
Ability to make effective presentations on general topics.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide key technical expertise and input at different stages of multiple projects to ensure the highest technical quality of delivery within specific discipline
-
Monitor the technical quality of wet utilities projects, such as electrical, gas, telecommunications, CCTV, internet etc, to ensure that the projects delivered to Clients are of the highest technical quality and engineering practice standard.

Develop and implement measures to mitigate project-related financial and business risks, in partnership with Project Managers/Project Directors.

Build technical capability of others and actively transfer technical expertise within the organization

Lead a team of professional employees, driving increased organizational performance and achievement of team goals.

Create work processes, procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies cost-effectiveness and service improvements

Anticipate and objectively and systematically analyze and resolve complex problems
-
Effective preparation, planning and control of financial budgets and team resources in order to deliver required commercial outcomes
-
Coordinate design aspects including methodology reports, design parameters, drawings and calculations with the design consultant team
-
Coordinate and liaise as may be required with all relevant local authority departments associated with completing the project.

Work with the highways design team, undertaking consultancy work for civil projects.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of submittal, reviews and approvals against contract requirements.

Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

Partner with clients to exceed their expectations and build client relationships.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
-
A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related subject.
-
10- 15 years Working with consultants in dry utilities design
-
Exp working with RTA, DEWA, DM process/standard/requirement for utilities design
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
GCC exp is mandatory.

Registration at MICE or IEng MICE level, or the equivalent thereof, is desirable.
-
Full (Corporate) Membership of an Internationally recognized professional Institution i.e., CEng., MICE. or PE.
-
PMP Certification would be advantageous.
