SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

 

Position Summary:

The role involves conducting detailed electrical engineering building services design and verifying the results through hand calculations.

 

It includes preparing technical specifications, schedules, and design development reports. The candidate will plan and manage CAD input, with a focus on utilizing BIM for design-related issues. Represent the company at meetings with clients, professionals, and suppliers. Ensuring junior staff are informed of important decisions and achieving company and client objectives is crucial.

 

The candidate will coordinate work with other project team members, contribute to discipline engineering on multiple projects from start to finish, and collaborate with other disciplines. They should be able to deliver electrical services designs with minimal supervision, add value beyond their discipline, and demonstrate flexibility and teamwork.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertake detailed electrical engineering building services design and cross-check the results using hand calculations

• Preparation of technical specifications and schedules

• Preparation and contribution to design development reports

• Plan and manage input to CAD for the production of design work to engage and participate within the group’s strategy for BIM development as our tool of choice for all design-related issues

• Represent SIEC at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers

• Ensure JUNIOR staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved

• Coordinating work with other members of the project team

• Contribute to the design and delivery of discipline engineering on multiple projects, seeing them through to completion

• Contribute to the coordination with the other disciplines within the practice

• Deliver electrical services designs with minimal supervision

• Add value to a project and start to think beyond own discipline

• Have a flexible approach and be a team player

• Middle East design experience is desirable but not essential

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• 7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Competent in the use of electrical engineering software.

• Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes.

• Able to solve problems and troubleshoot as the need arises.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Electronic Systems, Electronics Troubleshooting, Electronic Testing Design, Project Management, Quality

• Focus, Database Design, Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Attention to Detail,

• Emphasizing Excellence, Innovation.
