ELV/ICT ENGINEER

 

Position Summary:

Create technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, select equipment and components, and ensure the coordination and integration of ELV systems within the overall building design. They conduct site surveys, perform calculations, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful implementation. Provides technical support, troubleshoots issues, and stays updated with industry standards. Effective communication, problem-solving, and proficiency in relevant software tools are essential for this role.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design of ELV, security and Telecommunications systems (structure cabling, Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm etc.).

• Prepare Basis of Design Report for the project.

• Prepare Space matrix and cable routing.

• Prepare Low Current calculations according to the project’s regulation and standards.

• Ensure effective coordination with other disciplines such as Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineering.

• Perform system calculations and studies for server and IDF sizing and requirements.

• Perform calculations for cable sizes, cable tray fill/loading.

• Perform design of single line diagrams, installation details, wiring diagrams, etc.

Develop all Extra Low Voltage distribution systems for building services including but not limited to:

• Security Systems, Access Control System, Intruder Detection System, Video Surveillance (CCTV), Fire Detection and Alarm System, Emergency / Exit Lighting System, Voice Evacuation System, Intercom System, Parking Guidance System, Structured Cabling System (IT data & Wi-Fi Installation), IPTV / CATV / MATV System, Video Conference and Audio-Visual Equipment, Building Management System, Public Address and Mass Notification System, Queue Management System, Central Clock System Including Time recording, Nurse Call System, Paging Systems,   Emergency Call System for Disabled Persons, and RFID System.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Fluent in English language (speaking, reading and writing).

• Demonstrating proficiency in Autodesk Revit, CAD and Microsoft office applications.

• Design experience is a must, construction experience is a plus.
