INTERIOR BIM TECHNOLOGIST

 

Summary:

The Interior BIM Technologist has modeling and interior documentation skills to help on a drawings package and will be expected to modify drawings for all existing and new projects under general supervision.  They will be able to interpret and communicate with the designer to understand the design intent and carry this through all drawing stages including SD, DD, TD, and IFC.​

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aiding the technical team with all aspects of design development.

  • Support the design development of projects from concept to completion.

  • Assist on all drawing packages using Revit, BIM 360, Auto CAD, and other drawing production base program to ensure full coordination and technical excellence is achieved prior to issue

  • Create detailed design drawings with a preference for joinery detailing and interior detailing skills. tolerances, and materials.

  • Coordinate all information throughout the entire project.

  • Modifies drawings as per supervisor’s instruction.

  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

  • Support for all local authority compliance and code compliance.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • 3-5 years of Interior documentation experience

  • Experience in Revit is a must, and other drawing production-based programs are a bonus

  • Ability to work well within a team of other professionals

  • Able to follow and implement the company’s BIM and detailing standards

  • Analytical, deadline-oriented, and self-motivated]

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with adequate English to ensure correct spelling and grammar on all documentation.

  • Experience in Coordination with Architectural, MEP and Specialist Lighting is an advantage.
