FF&E DESIGNER – LIBRARIAN

 

Position Summary:

Serve as FF&E Design team member under the direction of the Design Director and Project Manager.

 

Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School

• 5 plus years of experience in Interior Design

 

Essential Functions:

 

• Knowledge of local material resources preferred

• Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples

• Proven experience in FF&E design development, documentation, and reviews

• Outstanding graphic presentation skills

• Works with Design Director and client to develop a schematic FF&E design based on project criteria, program, and budget

• Serves as principal contact with the purchasing agent

• Review samples, strike-offs, etc. for compliance with specifications and design intent

• Directs and reviews furniture plans for content and accuracy and ensures that they fully coordinated with finishes, electrical, RCP and lighting plans and other consultant’s drawings.

• Coordinates presentation of artwork

• Coordinates FF&E installation with all parties involved

• Produce and coordinate finish, hardware, sanitaryware, & FF&E schedules

• Responsible for revising specifications schedules

• Assists in coordination of interior finishes documents with work of consultants & architects.

• Arrange meetings with manufacturers and suppliers

• Attend trade shoes to research new materials

• Organize and maintain the materials library

• Assist interior designers & architects in location products and picking up for delivery samples

• Allocate and adjust FF&E BOQ in coordination with Client and Project Design Director
