SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

 

Position Summary:

To manage the in-house MEP design in the production of drawings and it’s related documents, to an internal brief from the management team, to be negotiated with and submitted to the appropriate Authorities for speedy and satisfactory approvals in order to unlock and maximize design development potential.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop MEP design for all in-house project.

• Prepare and take responsibility for project MEP engineering solutions for detail design.

• Prepare Technical Specifications and check work/specifications.

• Prepare Technical proposals and MEP design reports.

• Undertake high-level project technical/quality reviews and attend design workshops for projects relevant to experience across the practice.

• Contribute to company wide initiatives with respect to technical development / market sectors and processes.

• Commitment to company and self learning including development of own preferred area of expertise

• Throughout the design stages, work alongside team to form a coordinated consultant representative team.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• BA degree or advanced degree in MEP discipline desired

• 9 years’ experience in relevant MEP industry as a principal-level designer with Engineering Firms.

• Demonstrate an understanding of basis of mechanical design.

• Demonstrate an understanding and familiarity of codes and other authorities regulations.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Demonstrated experience working independently.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

• Revit experience is mandatory and should be able to model the Mechanical services.

• Design experience in HVAC, PlumBing and Firefighting systems.
