SENIOR ARCHITECT

 

Summary:

A Senior Architect designs and prepares building plans for the most complex, large-scale projects, coordinates implementation of projects, administers agreements with Consultants, Architects and Engineers.
 

A Senior Architect acts as the Lead Worker and interacts with other Staff Members and relevant departments within the Organization as well as outside Groups.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aiding the Lead Architect with all aspects of design development. 

  • Responsible for the design development of projects from concept to completion. 

  • Responsible for all local authority compliance and code compliance.

  • Checking third-party design drawings

  • Dealing with design issues on projects and finding technical solutions

  • Responsible for utilizing correct design standards i.e. BS etc.

  • Responsible for all technical detailing of a project and working on the production of technical drawings

  • Coordination of all sub consultant packages.

  • Review of all drawing packages prior to issue

 

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Proven Strong technical skills.

  • A minimum of seven years’ post qualification experience including leading projects.

  • Be able to work in a focused manner, have excellent technical design skills, including design detailing, and be excited by good design.

  • Emphasize detail design and design development, developing comprehensive and practical architectural solutions.

  • Proficiency in the use of Revit, ACC, Naviswork.

  • Experience in delivering architectural projects coordinated with the other stakeholders and ensure all projects disciplines are coordinated to avoid clashes.

  • Prepare technical documentation, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to relevant standards and regulations.

  • Client focus & commercial awareness experience of establishing and consolidating relationships to identify and realize business opportunities.

  • Collaborative team player with good motivation, influencing, people management and delegation skills.

  • Experience of all RIBA Plan of Work stages from concept to contract administration.

  • Hold a RIBA/MCIAT qualification is preferred
