Bab Samhan Hotel is the inaugural hospitality project in the prestigious Diriyah Gate District. STUDIOI served as the Lead Design Consultant, overseeing the architectural to completion, while also providing construction supervision services.
The luxury resort project blends modern hotel requirements with traditional Saudi architectural heritage. Located close to the culturally significant Ad-Diriyah area, the design carefully incorporates the historical character of mud buildings, focusing on both preservation and modernization.
The resort consists of 19 cluster buildings, each designed with two floors above ground and a basement for parking. The architectural approach seeks to authentically replicate the aesthetic and ambiance of traditional Saudi mud structures while providing high-end amenities. This thoughtful integration aims to create a seamless connection between the luxury resort and its cultural context, reflecting the historical morphology and urban fabric, and offering a unique guest experience that honors Saudi heritage within a modern framework.
