SIEC was appointed as the Lead Design Consultant to facilitate Maersk’s operational expansion at Jeddah Islamic Port. Our role encompassed master planning, infrastructure design and and architectural solutions designed to meet Maersk’s evolving logistical needs, as well as providing supervision services throughout the construction phase.
The design process was guided by Maersk’s specific requirements and local regulatory standards, ensuring a cohesive approach for both the master planning and architectural components.
The master plan includes the development of Petrochemical and Transshipment yards, incorporating WND and CCL facilities for manual and semi-automated operations. Additionally, the plan provides for essential infrastructure such as administration buildings, parking areas, and the potential for Maersk’s future headquarters.
