The site’s location helps inspire the planning approach to views out across the site with a maximising of the building's orientation to the square. Inspiration is also derived from the buildings of the surrounding context in terms of materiality and scale.

Environmental constraints impact the language that is developed for the facade with deeply recessed window frames allowing for protection from the southern sun and vertical recessed openings protecting the interior from the east and west sun. Additional screening elements add another layer of protection to the facade.
