BIM LEAD

 

Summary:

As a BIM Lead, you will oversee the implementation of BIM methodologies, manage the development of 3D models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BIM into the project lifecycle. Utilize your expertise to enforce BIM standards, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate communication between architects, engineers, and construction teams. Drive innovation and efficiency through the strategic application of BIM technologies in all phases of the project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the application of BIM technologies and methodologies throughout each step and communicate with project stakeholders and optimize workflows to enhance the overall project efficiency through the use of advanced BIM technologies.

  • Implement BIM and Digital Construction processes, ensuring that they are seamlessly integrated into every stage of the project.

  • Collaborate with relevant departments, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, to guarantee the successful adoption and management of BIM processes throughout the various project lifecycle.

  • Co-ordinate with external consultants towards the successful implementation of the BIM and Digital Construction Policy where applicable.

  • Monitor the adherence to BIM standards and guidelines, ensuring that data and information are accurately documented and exchanged among project teams.

  • Address any challenges or roadblocks that may arise during the implementation of BIM processes, working with teams to find viable solutions.

  • Work closely with the design team to develop and reinforce standards with the goal of refining the models and BIM deliverables.

  • Run 3D construction simulations to visualize construction sequences, identify potential conflicts, and optimize construction planning, ultimately leading to more efficient and cost-effective projects.

  • Perform rigorous audits of BIM models to ensure their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the models, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the project.

  • Manage the BIM software licenses including overseeing the installation of new software versions and implementing BIM supporting software.

  • Prepare presentations and reports on the progress and outcomes of BIM implementation and maintain detailed documentation of the processes utilized.

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in BIM technology and construction management practices.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and implement new technologies where applicable

  • Initiate BIM Project Delivery to the approved BEP and MIDP.

  • Leading BIM Coordination Meetings.

  • Maintaining the Projects Quality Assurance (QA) Procedures.

  • Project Information Standards Review.

  • Model Integrity Review.

  • Monitor & Control the Project’s Information Production Procedures.

  • Monitor & Control Interdisciplinary Coordination Procedures.

  • Review of Projects Information Deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years’ experience in Consultancy.

  • Minimum 6 years REVIT experience

  • Experience in setting and implementing BIM & Digital Construction process.

  • Experience working with consultants in identifying and resolving BIM model quality issues and clash detection.

  • Experience in 3D, 4D, 5D, and 6D BIM

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction / Architecture/ Engineering; Master’s degree preferred

  • Knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, National BIM Standards) and industry best practices.
