PROJECT DIRECTOR -

SITE SUPERVISION

 

Position Summary:

Director-Supervision has the overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a Project.  Director-Supervision is a key figure of any Service Team and is primarily responsible for the overall success of delivering a project and reaching set targets both safely and correctly.

Qualifications:

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree

• Preferably an advanced degree in Business / Management / Finance / Construction Management or a related

• Consultancy experience is a must

• 20 years experience in the direct management of large, complex real estate projects with responsibility for site analysis, permitting and approvals, budget control, estimating, design and construction coordination, and project scheduling, 5 years experience in Saudi

• Excellent customer service and analytical skills are necessary as is a personality that pays attention to details

• Must exhibit initiative and a strong desire to achieve results. Must be computer literate in the use of typical construction industry software packages (e.g. scheduling, cost/cash flow control, etc.)

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business objectives and design guidelines.

• Managing day-to-day working, utilization, implementation and technical Consultants engaged on client assignments.

• Reporting progress on Projects by suitable media to sector management, maintain and update project reporting, checkpoints and financial reporting to a high standard.

• Interacts with Local Governmental having jurisdiction and regulatory agencies as required to ensure that projects comply with all applicable codes, legal requirements and regulations.

• Producing reports on each project at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required

• Participate in or oversee the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors, and other outside vendors and selects vendors

• Responsible for ensuring that Resident Engineers and Senior Associates:

  • ​Manage the project team including architects, engineers, workplace consultants, construction managers and administrative support

  • Develop schedules and budgets for assigned project

  • Identify and evaluates alternative solutions to best meet program goals

  • Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and documentation (e.g. Project Funding Request, Projetc Approval Request) for project funding authorization
