SENIOR URBAN DESIGNER

 

Key responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in projects as a leader and designer.

  • Works in the production of internal master plans and urban designs.

  • Prepares sheets for Development Control Regulations (DCRs) and Urban Design Guidelines (UDGs).

  • Coordinates the work between different disciplines working on the masterplan and reviews the design packages prepared by them.

  • Reviews and ensures compliance of master plans with all applicable quality norms and are completed according to time and budget.

  • Participates in the preparation of correspondence with the client, project managers and consultants

  • Develops innovative solutions to problems that effectively address the social, legal, and economic implications of the physical form.

  • Works both independently and within a team environment with a solid understanding of other design disciplines such as architecture, landscape architecture, and engineering.

  • Applies verbal, graphic, and written communication skills.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience required with experience in coordinating with clients, design team, and engineering disciplines.

  • Wide range of software skills including CAD, Sketchup, Adobe, Microsoft, Rhino, Revit, and GIS.

  • Strong portfolio of built projects.

  • Experience working on large-scale local and international projects.

  • Excellent design, visualization, graphic, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Urban Planning.

  • Master degree in Urban Design or Urban Planning is an advantage.
