HVAC DESIGN ENGINEER

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implements specific HVAC works in accordance with the work program of a project or as requested within his department.

• Prepares and assists with the preparation of technical reports, schemes, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and concept reports.

• Carries out designs of HVAC works, drawings, etc., as required.

• Undertakes special and/or project assignments as required by the Project Engineer.

• Familiarity with major international standards relevant to mechanical design such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASPE, NFPA, NP, etc.

• Experience in performing HVAC load calculations using HAP software.

• Proficiency in selecting main mechanical equipment including AHUs, FCUs, split systems, fans, pumps, chilled water accessories, etc.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• 5-8 years of design experience in recognized Engineering Consultants

• Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and related software, including CAD tools, REVIT & HAP program, and Word Processing Software.

• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with persons at all levels.

• Able to follow up on the technical information.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and directives.

• Able to work under pressure.

• Knowledge of modern construction techniques and high tech. materials.

• Capable of defining and meeting realistic timelines.

• Communication skills and self-motivation.

• Continuous self-development and research.

• Good English oral and written communication skills.
