ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

 

Position Summary:

An Electrical Engineer researches, designs, develops, builds, and tests mechanical and thermal devices, including tools, engines, and machines.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• design and coordinate all Electrical and ELV design activities through all stages of the design from concept to detail design, approvals, and tender/construction documentation.

• coordinate and collaborate with architects and engineers within other departments and sub-consultants, clients and authorities.

• Identify the systems requirements as per the international standards and local authority’s codes.

• be highly experienced and up-to-date with current standards, authority requirements (Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates), systems, materials, construction methods, details and technology.

• perform design calculations as applicable to the design field.

• follow up design approval from related authorities.

• be hands-on and expert working knowledge in BIM (REVIT), CAD, Navisworks,…etc.

• respond to RFIs and conduct site inspections and technical meetings with subcontractors, contractors, clients and authorities.

• have a minimum of 7 years of experience and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the UAE.

• hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• Electrical Engineering Degree

• 5 – 7 years’ Experience with engineering design consultancy firms.

• Familiar with UAE authorities’ regulations.

• Revit experience is mandatory and to be able to model the Electrical services.

• Design experience in LV system.

• Experience in ELV systems design such as Telecommunication, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access control, PAPX, Audio Video.

• Good experience in Lighting design.
