MECHANICAL BIM ENGINEER

 

Position Summary:

As a Mechanical BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for modeling all mechanical and plumbing systems, utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models. you must be able to work independently and work within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

​

  • Prepare and review Families, Project Templates, and files setup and coordinate Revit files.

  • Follow up BIM works and check Revit model health and quality.

  • Have technical experience to Check and solve relations between items for all disciplines by Visual coordination and clash reports.

  • Make sure all the models are following the BIM coordination sequence.

  • Have strong experience with work sharing, work sets, and coordination sequences with BIM 360.

  • Run and analyze clash detection on the Project model (Coordinate Revit designs among different disciplines: Electrical, Structure, Architectural, MEP systems) by using Navisworks.

  • Prepare and distribute clash reports to facilitate the coordination process.

  • Identify conflicts in the model; both real and potential.

  • Aware of Standards and know how to apply and keep it over all the projects.

  • Aware of BIM Level of Details and how to apply it on BIM Projects.

  • Develop and review Revit model files up to LOD 350.

  • Prepare data and QA/QC document sheets for the QA/QC reviewers.

  • Prepare a primary section for primary coordination.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

​

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Certification in relevant BIM program.

  • Proven experience in BIM works, with a minimum of [2-4] years in a similar role.

  • Understanding of building systems.

  • Hands-on Autodesk BIM 360 Software, Revit Mep, Navisworks.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

  • Knowledge of UAE regulations and permitting processes.

  • Sound knowledge of mechanical system sizing, selection, and application

  • Adaptability to work for cross-functional/culture and time zones
